Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Chef Martin’s passion for food was ignited by the rich tapestry of flavors woven into the traditional recipes passed down by his Italian and Basque grandmothers. Eager to refine his skills, he embarked on his culinary odyssey in Argentina, honing his craft at a renowned school of hotel and catering business before venturing further afield to pursue higher education at the University of New York.

His wanderlust led him on a whirlwind tour of the globe, from the picturesque landscapes of Central America to the bustling markets of Europe and the enchanting allure of the Middle East. Along the way, he immersed himself in diverse culinary traditions, enriching his repertoire with a kaleidoscope of flavors and techniques.

The chef’s culinary prowess did not go unnoticed. In 2015, he was bestowed with the prestigious title of ‘Cultural & Gastronomic Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina’ during an official visit to Moscow by the Minister of Tourism of Argentina, a testament to his commitment to promoting Argentine cuisine on the world stage.

During his tenure at the St. Regis Hotel Moscow, Chef Martin distinguished himself as a member of the Culinary Advisory for Marriott International, earning accolades as one of the group’s top 14 executive chefs globally. Now, he brings his wealth of experience and unwavering pursuit of excellence to The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa, where he leads the culinary team in curating exceptional dining experiences that leave a lasting impression on guests.

His approach to cooking is guided by a simple yet profound philosophy: to create unforgettable moments through food.
